The maths nobody talks about

Plug-and-play hot tubs can't do the job.

A standard 13A plug delivers a theoretical maximum of 2.86 kWh. Inside a hot tub, that ceiling is shared between heater, recirculation pump, jet pump and control system. The heating element itself is typically 2 to 2.2 kW.

Lifting 1,000 litres of winter mains water from 7°C to a BISHTA-compliant 40°C requires 38.4 kWh of net energy input. That's the physics. Nothing changes it.

"A guest who booked a hot tub doesn't want to turn up to a warm tub. That puts you on the back foot from the moment they arrive. Reviews mean everything."

How the system works

One control interface. Four stages. Zero wasted energy.

Filtration, heating and temperature management run from a single integrated system. Mode 1 hits target temperature. Mode 2 holds it — only firing when water drops by 1.1°C. Significantly more efficient than constant-on electric tubs.

Stage 01

Skimmer filtration

Surface water — where debris collects — drawn over a debris basket, then through paper cartridge filtration. Stainless steel mesh upgrade coming free of charge.

Stage 02

Mode 1 — Rapid heat

Filtered water passes into the SUPA Heater. The full 29 kW output heats the water until target temperature is reached.

Stage 03

Jet mix at 38°C

Quick blast of the jets mixes the water body and ensures a uniform temperature reading before transition to Mode 2.

Stage 04

Constant Temperature

1.1°C drop triggers the heater to add in 5–6°C. The heater cuts out when set temperature is reached, then cycles to hold the set temperature for as long as you're in the spa.

Run the numbers

How long. How much. Calculate before you buy.

Adjust the sliders. Watch the maths update live. This is what it will actually cost to heat your Forge Core, from whatever temperature you're starting at.

Calculations use the proven 1 kg propane = 12.5 kWh conversion and the 31 kW SUPA Heater output. The same physics that runs in your tub.

For commercial operators HSG 282

The compliance problem, solved at the point of purchase.

HSG 282 requires hot tub water to be completely drained, cleaned and refilled between each new guest occupancy. There is no exception. There is no grey area.

Standard electric and wood fired tubs

Compliance or revenue. A forced trade-off.

Drain and refill between guests
Reheat time: 8–24 hours electric or 3 hours wood fired
Back-to-back bookings: operationally impossible
Same-day changeovers: not viable (for electric)
SUPA Spa Forge Core

Compliance and revenue. No compromise.

Drain and refill between guests
Reheat time: 60–90 minutes from cold
Back-to-back or late same-day bookings: standard operation
Same-day changeovers: operationally routine

Jet configuration

The jet plan.

Most hot tubs sell on jet count. Forty. Sixty. Some claim a hundred. The number sounds impressive — until you understand the physics. One pump, divided across forty jets, delivers a dribble at every outlet. The Forge Core takes the opposite view: fewer jets, properly powered, properly placed.

Other questions

The bits you'd want to ask us.

Is it HSG 282 compliant?

Yes — compliant by design. Full drain capability, accessible pipework with no dead legs, smooth internal surfaces, and 60–90 minute reheat enable compliant changeovers inside the working morning.

Can the Forge Core handle back-to-back bookings?

That's exactly what it was built for. Drain, refill, heat to 40°C in 60–90 minutes from cold. A guest checking out at 10:00 means a ready tub for the 15:00 arrival, every time. No more compliance vs. revenue trade-off.

What gas supply do I need for commercial use?

We recommend 2 × 47 kg cylinders linked via a twin-stage auto-changeover regulator. The regulator switches automatically when the first cylinder empties — your housekeeper never finds an empty tank mid-changeover.

Can I order multiple units for a glamping site?

Yes. Contact us directly for multi-unit terms — info@supa-heater.com or 0161 327 3848. We tailor commercial terms to deployment size, timing and gas-supply configuration.

What's the realistic revenue uplift per pod?

AirDNA's UK and US data suggests approximately £12,000 additional annual revenue per pod for hot-tub-equipped properties. Industry research from Ideal Hot Tubs shows annual occupancy lifting from 60% to 80%. Read the full SUPA Intelligence analysis for the underlying maths.

What's the lead time for a commercial order?

6 weeks from deposit for single units. Multi-unit orders are scheduled by deployment phase — we'll confirm at point of order.

Is finance available for commercial buyers?

The same Ideal4Finance offer is available to UK businesses subject to approval. For multi-unit deployments, contact us to discuss bespoke commercial finance terms.
